A friend of mine from when I used to live in Newcastle sent me a link to a clip from Look North. I think this is what it means to rethink our church in a modern context to engage with the people where they are.

Yes, the church must meet the people where they work and live.Becoming a part of every aspect of life rather than apart.
Outside the walls in the living space, interlocking.
Peace
Thats brilliant.
eek – what is that monocled weirdo avatar – give me back my little yellow square please??!!
Your wish is my command……
Excellent clip……..i’m not sure it’s a new idea though!
rather an old idea rediscovered (not unlike most other fresh expressions)
No one said that fresh expressions were new! They are “fresh expressions” of the old!
😉
I think that to our twenty first century eyes this is actually a very fresh expression. Take us back 200 years and less so!
exactly so. there is nothing new under the sun, after all…?!
thanks for my square’s safe return. 😆
Erm…. yes and no….
The square? You’re welcome. Welcome back in your impersonal geometric form 😛
I will get a photo or some trendy thing loaded up one day ……nah, on second thoughts prob not!
am also having a re-think at mo about the pioneer route and how it may well be unnecessary for the sort of thing i need to do – had a few eye opening experiences lately in the ‘trad’ world. fab!! am so glad you gave me a perspective on that – ta!
No problemo, glad to help.
Remember – follow God where he leads you! If that is pioneer then pioneer. If it is pioneering trad then go that way. Follow Him!
[not me ! eek 😆 ]
